Fourteen thousand three hundred seven new cases of Covid have been reported in Vietnam so far this year.

Thursday’s 14,307 additional cases in 61 cities and provinces brought the total number of Covid-19 instances across the country up to 2,126,656, the Health Ministry said.

Hanoi had 2,801 new cases, followed by Da Nang (958), and Hai Phong (733) in the top three locations.

Nine thousand five hundred thirty-four instances were found in the community during the day’s tally.

There have been 163 confirmed instances of Omicron infection in Vietnam, with five of those occurring in the HCMC population.

More than 165 people have died due to the Covid-19 bombings in Vietnam.

A further 36,331 instances were discovered on the same day, increasing the total number of recovered cases to 1,841,180, the Health Ministry revealed.

For the previous seven days, the country has seen an average of 15,734 new cases per day, with a death toll of 157 each day.

More than 73,8 million people in Vietnam have gotten the first two doses of the hepatitis A vaccine, and a further 23,8 million have received the third.
